CCB Wireless Networks

Wireless networking within the Division of Chemistry and Chemical Biology is supported by Rutgers RUWireless. For questions and support regarding RUWireless users are encouraged to contact the central campus helpdesk at 848-445-HELP (4357).

Departmental Wireless

In additional to the standard RUWireless networks CCB IT maintains a private departmental wireless network CCB_Secure for CCB affiliated faculty and staff. This network utilizes WPA2-Enterprise encrpytion and is for the exclusive use of faculty and staff affiliated with CCB.

Network Policy

To ensure the security of our network and maintain a consistent level of performance throughout the building we do not allow faculty and staff to run their own wireless devices. The emergence of any new "rogue" access-points will be shutdown without warning.

Guest Access

We understand that there are times when guests from outside of the university need access to the wireless network therefore you can give them a temporary account using the RUWireless Guest Account Management System (or RGAMS for short). RGAMS allows you to give your guest wireless access so you don't need to log into their computer for them. To access the RGAMS system, click here (https://services.rutgers.edu/ruwireless/RGAMS/)

Connecting to the Network

Connecting to this network will enable the same access and connecting via an Ethernet cable but does require a few steps to properly configure your machine to connect.
